Detailed Description
Tequila Chamucos began as a side project between friends and is now a fully formed brand. The agave is harvested at between 8 – 10 years and roasted in an autoclave, bound for stainless-steel column-distillation. The reposado is aged 7 months in ex-bourbon barrels and packaged in hand-blown glass.
Chamucos Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose has an aroma of freshly-laid pavement with stewed agave notes.
Palate: On the palate, golden apple and pear share the stage with sweet floral notes that are reminiscent of Earl Grey Tea.
Finish: The finish is hot and somewhat pepper-spicy.

Now with the experience of 4 generations of agave producers and introducers in tequila factories such as Sauza, Cuervo, Orendain, 3 Magueyes, etc., for the year 1990 Don Feliciano Vivanco Fonseca and his children decided to found the Tequila Company “Feliciano Vivanco y Asociados “, with the philosophy of making one of the best tequilas in the world. With a small but functional distillery, located in the municipality of Arandas, in the heart of the Altos de Jalisco region, production tests began at the end of 1992, and the product was launched in January 1994 with the “VIVA” brand.
