A vatting of bourbon and sherry casks, bottled at 46% by the renowned Cooley distillery. Only 2500 bottles available worldwide. The Bourdega from the Jack Ryan Beggars Bush Irish whiskey range is a 15 year old single malt which is initially aged in bourbon barrels before being transferred over to Sherry casks for a finishing period.

Nose: Fudge, honey’d apple and grilled banana. A hint of hot chocolate develops.
Palate: Softly oaky at first, with peppercorn and burnt sugar, followed by sugared almonds.
Finish: Treacle, blackberry and cereal.

Cooley Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery, located on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth, Ireland, converted in 1987 from an older potato alcohol plant by John Teeling.
