Detailed Description
First released in 1991 and named after Hancock Taylor, a surveyor in the Leestown area who was killed by Native Americans. Hancock’s President’s Reserve is one of four single barrel bourbons from the Buffalo Trace stable, the others being Blanton’s, Rock Hill Farms and Elmer T. Lee. The bottle does not carry a barrel number or age statement but Hancock’s Reserve is believed to be around 8 years old.
Hancock’s President’s Reserve Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Clear, mid golden amber.
Palate: Butterscotch, fudge, maple, vanilla, tobacco leaf and new Tupperware box with nectarines and honey.
Finish: Fudge, butterscotch, vanilla, spicy (cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper) oak, caffe latte and cocoa powder with buttery corn-on-the-cob.

Buffalo Trace Distillery is a distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, that is owned by the Sazerac Company. It has historically been known by several names, including the George T. Stagg Distillery and the Old Fire Copper Distillery.
