Detailed DescriptionThis single malt has been aged for 16 years in American Bourbon Casks and is limited to a mere 1,000 bottles. It has been finished in a Banyuls cask, made from old vines on the slopes of the Catalan Pyrenees. The founders established their firm P & H Egan Ltd. on Bridge Street in the heart of Tullamore. They engaged in wholeselling, bottling, malting and brewing activities. Egan‘s were bottling Jameson & Paddy Whiskeys in the 1940s. The firm went into voluntary liquidation in 1968. Jonathan Egan and John Ralph of the 5th and 6th generation of the Egan family revived the company P.&H. Egan.
