Detailed Description
A Canadian rye whiskey made from 100% rye grain and distilled first in a column still, followed by a copper pot still. Lot 40 Dark Oak gets its name from its maturation, which began in lightly charred barrels before it was then transferred to heavily charred American oak barrels for finishing.

Distillery Information
Lot 40 was a plot of land occupied by one of the ancestors of Mike Booth, the now-retired Master Distiller. As a tribute to his ancestry, he named the rye whisky after the spot where his family set up their first Canadian still many generations before him. Lot 40 Rye was discontinued in the 2000s, although it was then relaunched in 2012.
