Detailed DescriptionSuperbly bright, effortlessly cool and very popular with cocktail lovers. We’re of course talking about Dorothy Parker, the legendary writer, poet and satirist, as well as talking about the New York Distilling Company’s Dorothy Parker Gin! A spectacular American gin, made with traditional and contemporary botanicals including juniper, elderberries, citrus, cinnamon, and Hibiscus Petals. Simply marvellous in G&Ts, martinis, aviations and all manner of gin-based cocktails…New York Distilling Dorothy Parker – American Gin Tasting NotesNose: Sweet floral notes are balanced with muscular juniper. Elderberry, citrus and cinnamon are all also evident on a glorious nose.Palate: Again those hibiscus petals appear prominent, but not at the expense of juniper. This is still very much a proper gin. Cinnamon spiciness develops wonderfully.Finish: You’re left with sweet floral notes, juniper and returning elderberry and citrus that linger pleasantly for some time.Distillery InformationThe New York Distilling Company is establishing one of the nation’s premiere craft distilleries. It was founded by Tom Potter, who also co-founded the Brooklyn Brewery, and Allen Katz, Director of the Spirits Education & Mixology for Southern Wine & Spirits of New York. The distillery was opened on the symbolic date of December 5, 2011—the anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition.
