Detailed Description
This is the second 2019 release in the new batched series of The Macallan Rare Cask. Bottled in 2019, this release is crafted from some of the rarest and most precious stocks maturing in The Macallan Estate in Speyside. Each batch in the series represents the volume of just 50 European sherry seasoned oak butts. Presented at 43% abv in a beautifully sculpted glass decanter.
The Macallan Rare Cask – Batch No.2 (2019 Release) Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Soft notes of opulent vanilla and raisin pique the nose, giving way to a sweet ensemble of apple, lemon and orange.
Palate: Oak resonates, timeless, polished and rich. Vanilla and chocolate lead the finale along with a light citrus zest.
Finish: Full and warming.
Distillery Information
The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray. The Macallan Distillers Ltd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
