Detailed Description
Brandy, a spirit distilled from wine or fruit, is often aged in oak barrels. These may be used several times because brandy does not have the new, charred barrel requirement that our Bourbon does. The brandy barrels that were selected for the finishing process were crafted many years ago. They had been used first to mature whiskey and then many more times for brandy. Finishing fully matured Woodford Reserve in these barrels accentuates Woodford Reserves rich dried fruit and nut characteristics that come from their grain recipe and long fermentation process.
